When AI moves money, every workflow needs a proof trail

AI decides. Money moves. The only question left is: can you prove what happened? W3 and Space and Time came together to deliver verifiable financial infrastructure. Here is what that looks like in production.

AI agents are making financial decisions faster than humans can supervise. Vendors multiply. Money moves. And when a compliance review asks what happened to a specific transaction, who authorized it, and whether the records are intact, the answer had better be provable.

W3 exists to solve that problem. We call it control without complexity: an operating system for autonomous finance where every workflow is declared, executed, and verified. Not "trust us." Prove it.

Verifiability is not a feature we bolt on. It is architectural. It runs through every layer of the platform, from how workflows execute to how data is stored. And the data layer is where Space and Time comes in.

Verifiable workflows, top to bottom

W3's platform is declarative. An enterprise defines the financial workflow it wants. The system compiles it, executes it, and produces a verifiable record that it ran correctly. But a verifiable workflow is only as trustworthy as the data underneath it.

That is exactly why we chose to partner with Space and Time. A database inside a cloud provider is a black box someone else controls. Space and Time distributes data storage and computation across a network with no single owner. Once data is written, the network holds it. Not a promise, not a policy, not a cloud provider's terms of service. W3 verifies the execution. Space and Time verifies the record. Each one makes the other's proof mean something. Together, enterprises get a chain of proof from execution to settlement that nobody can quietly rewrite.

As our CTO Audie Sheridan put it: "Our trust assumptions extend into the decentralized protocol. We have more verifiability with Space and Time than we do with a database in AWS, where we have no idea what's happening to the data behind the scenes."

Battle-tested at scale

We did not validate this in a sandbox. We deployed Space and Time as the data layer for Creatorland, a platform serving over 100,000 content creators. Creatorland’s DealSync finds deals in Creator’s email inboxes, which allows them to use their time for what makes them money - content creation.

At peak, the integration handles 200,000+ workflows per day. That is not projected volume. That is production. And it produced a battle-tested integration that every future enterprise client can deploy with confidence.

“Enterprises are not going to hand AI agents the ability to move real money without a record they can defend in an audit. That constraint is what will separate the agentic finance platforms enterprises actually adopt from the ones they pilot and walk away from. The architecture W3 and Space and Time have built together is designed exactly for that bar," said Nate Holiday, co-founder of Space and Time.

Why this matters for enterprises

Every enterprise running autonomous financial workflows will face the same questions. What is your audit trail? Where does it live? Who has access? If your AI agents are moving real money, how do you prove what happened?

Without a verifiable execution and a verifiable data layer, the answer to every one of those questions is "we trust our cloud provider." That is not accountability. That is faith.

As our CEO Porter Stowell put it: "You need a database that is built for accountability. Full stop."

W3 is building multi-layer verifiability into the platform itself. Space and Time is a critical component. Alongside decentralized compute, custody, payments, and settlement, it is part of a composable architecture designed so that enterprises never have to choose between speed and proof.

What comes next

Space and Time is one of more than a dozen live integrations in W3's platform, alongside Circle, Stripe, MoonPay, BitGo, WisdomTree, and Yelay. Nate Holiday, CEO of Space and Time, serves on our advisory board. The teams coordinate on joint go-to-market. This is a production partnership, not a logo swap.

For enterprises evaluating what it takes to run autonomous financial workflows with real accountability: the proof chain is live. And it starts here.
